Kapil Sharma is going to be back on our television screens soon. And hopefully with him, the Indian TV watching audience will also get a respite from all the naagins and nevlas swarming the Indian television at the moment. The first episode of the Kapil Sharma Show airs on April 23 on Sony and as announced by the channel, the first guest to grace the show is none other than, Shah Rukh Khan. The team recently shot the episode in Delhi.
However, the cast from Comedy Nights with Kapil look nothing like you remember them from the show.
The characters have donned a completely new look. In fact, after much secrecy, the new characters have finally been introduced and Spotboye has reported what each actor would play in the show.
Here’s a little brief about the new characters on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
Kapil Sharma will now be seen as Kappu.
Kapil plays Kappu, who comes to reside at a relative’s house (Ali Asgar, in his new female avatar) in a colony called Shantivan Non-Cooperative Housing Society. Contrary to its name, the colony has everything but shanti.
Ali Asgar (Daadi from CNWK) plays a courtesan who pretends to be half blind.
Sunil Grover aka Guthhi will be seen as Dr Mashahoor Gulati, who has two beautiful nurses working for him. But Sunil will also be seen playing various other characters, like in Comedy Nights with Kapil.
Sumona Chakravarti (Manju from CNWK), works in Dr Mashahoor’s clinic and has a crush on Kappu.
Rochelle Rao, the new addition to the near perfect team, plays a nurse at Dr. Gulati’s clinic.
The family naukar played by Chandan Prabhakar will again be dealing with tea, but this time he owns the neighborhood tea stall.
Kiku Sharda will be seen essaying multiple characters on the show.
His various acts as Palak, Lachha and Pankhuri were all loved by the audience and we’re hoping it will be even better this time.
10 days to go for The Kapil Sharma Show and we can’t wait already!
