One of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic blockbusters, Devdas, completes 14 years today. 

Based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Devdas’ had impressed the masses and critics alike and is still recalled as a masterpiece.

Shah Rukh, whose performance in the film is considered one of his most memorable works by his fans, took to Twitter to mark the occasion. In a tweet, he thanked the director of the film and declared how special the film is to him.

The epic love story featured actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the role of Paro, Devdas’s love interest and Madhuri Dixit Nene as Chandramukhi, a courtesan who falls in love with the 50-year-old actor’s onscreen character.

The film is one of the most applauded and critically acclaimed movies of Bollywood and it went on to win many Filmfare and National awards. The movie also gave break to one of Bollywood’s leading female playback singers, Shreya Ghoshal.
