No matter how crap 90s movies were, we still watched them with questionable seriousness and knew way too many details about everyone involved. While most of the men from the era are still around, doing pretty much the same stuff they were doing 20 years ago, majority of the women seem to have disappeared, spending their extended sabbaticals far away from the spotlight.

Namrata Shirodkar
This Former Miss India-turned-actor still finds herself in the news, thanks to her Telugu superstar husband, Mahesh Babu. The couple tied the knot in 2005 and she is now settled in Hyderabad.
Kimi Katkar
The Jumma Chumma girl disappeared from the scene at the peak of her career, and spent most of her married life in Australia with her husband and son. She’s recently moved back to Pune, and enjoys her paparazzi-free life.
Anu Aggarwal
Anu Aggarwal was the star of one of the biggest hits of the 90s, but disappeared from the spotlight because of a near-fatal accident in 1999. She was in coma for 29 days, but recovered. In 2015, she released her autobiography, Anusual – Memoir of a Girl who Came Back from the Dead.
Shilpa Shirodkar
Shilpa Shirodkar is best remembered for her desi wifey roles in Aankhen and Gopi Kishan, but she disappeared soon after. She’s back in the spotlight because of her television roles.
Pooja Batra
If anyone is winning the ‘disappearing from the spotlight’ game, it’s Pooja Batra. After big films like Virasat and Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Pooja slowly moved away from Bollywood, got married and settled in LA. She’s suddenly back in the spotlight after her stunning appearance at this year’s Golden Globes, and will be making her Hollywood debut with a TV show based on astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
