The page starts off with stating the obvious, that verification is not something you can ask for. But much like a precious family heirloom or a particular painful bout of gonorrhoea , it’s something that is bequeathed to you.

But the page does make a few good points. Like getting your own “official web page” linked to your Twitter profile.

But then it goes back to giving some less than helpful advice.

Waiting. Yes, that’s part of the procedure.

And then it concludes part one with a “Learn how to tweet effectively”.

So after all this, we thought Part 2 might be where the real ‘ how-to ‘ advice begins. Well, we shouldn’t have held our breath.

But at this point, it started to seem like even wikiHow had given up on us.

But basically, it all just comes down to one thing. Buy your verification. This is beginning to sound like we’re running for an election.

And finally, wikiHow got to the most logical, but kinda awkward (for us anyway) conclusion.
