Bodybuilding is a passion for some and they go to the extreme levels for getting in the best of shapes. Some people rely on working out to achieve their dream body and then there are few who even take supplements that are known for having adverse effects on the human body.
You must be thinking that be are talking about steroids, but no, this is totally different. Valdir Segato, a bodybuilder from Brazil, injects oil into his muscles to look beefed up.
Although the injections helped him in gaining 25 kg, the unnatural way of bulking up doesn’t actually make his muscles stronger. In fact, it can lead to amputation or other life-threatening problems.
His appearance has earned him nicknames like, ‘He-Man’, ‘Arnold’ and ‘Monster’. He has biceps measuring a staggering 23 inches with a 46-inch wide chest.
Valdir has been taking these lethal injections from the past 5 years when his biceps were only 12 inches. He is a construction worker, from Sao Paulo in Brazil. Due to drug addiction in his youth, he lost so much weight that people would call him ‘skinny dog’ and ‘little skull.’
He started going to the gym and from there he got to know about Synthol, something that can get him quick and extreme results. So, he started injecting it regularly into his biceps, chest, and shoulders.
Often, Valdir gets hateful comments on his body but, he is truly comfortable in his skin. According to a report in Metro, he said:
This is a dream come true that I searched for and conquered. You look at your body and see that it’s growing and you’re going to want more. There are times I hear people mocking me a lot, especially younger kids. They are always saying something because of my body. The worst thing is when people stop you and call you an ugly thing. But I don’t care what people say, if I like myself, that’s enough.
But, his looks have kept him devoid of love as of now. He thinks the bulging muscles have made him intimidating for people.
At the moment, I am alone, I don’t have anyone. I do get attention, but people seem to be scared to approach me, I think that’s the problem.
But for everyone questioning his purpose and calling his passion stupid, he just has one thing to say, “I don’t have any regrets. I look at myself in the mirror and I like the way I look.”
