Monica Lewinsky Is Back And This Time, She’s Taking A Stand Against Cyber-Bullying

Raj Das

Monica Lewinsky is no stranger to cyber-bullying. Back in 1998, she got wrapped up in the media scandal following her affair with then-US President Bill Clinton. Even though that was a time before social media, the Internet had already started showing signs of how lethal it could be through comments sections, emails and blogs full of opinions. Not that there’s anything wrong with any of those things, but when all the shots were being fired towards one person, it wasn’t easy for her to simply brush it aside. She was being cyber-bullied even before the term was invented.

Which is why this TED Talks video deserves all the attention it’s getting. For someone who was shamed by all quarters of the media, coming back and tackling the issue head on could not have been easy.

Here’s the video.
