3D-Printed Ultrasound Lets Visually Impaired Mother ‘See’ Her Unborn Child. Technology FTW!

Raj Das

In a video released by Huggies Brasil last week, Tatiana Guerra, 30, a woman who’s 20 weeks pregnant, is seen lying on the ultra-sound table, asking the doctor what her unborn son looks like. Tatiana lost her vision when she was 17. She cannot see the ultra-sound image.

The video then cuts to a mobile 3D-printing set up which is printing a 3D image of her child. The happiness on her face when she touches the final image cannot be described. You have to watch it to understand it.
