Meghan Markle has been shaking things up in the Royal family and breaking protocols–knowingly and unknowingly. Here are 7 times that happened.

1. When she chose not to wear nude stockings for her engagement photoshoot.

The women of the Royal family are not allowed to show their bare legs and always have to wear a pair of nude pantyhose under a dress.

2. When she chose to tie her hair up in messy buns

After getting engaged to Prince Harry, she was spotted wearing her hair in a casual bun on multiple occasions, including a Royal engagement. The women of the Royal family are expected to flaunt sleek hairstyles or cover their hair with a hat.

3. When she wore an off-the-shoulder dress on her Buckingham balcony debut.

The Royal women are expected to wear sleeves that at least go till their elbows but Meghan broke this rule when she wore an off-the-shoulder dress.

4. When she walked down solo for most of her bridal procession.

She’s the first woman in UK royal history to walk down the aisle by herself because she wanted to show the world that she’s an independent woman.

5. She’s not the only one sporting a wedding band.

The men of the Royal family do not wear their weddings rings but Prince Harry has chosen to keep his ring on his finger. Clearly, Meghan’s love has made the Prince break some protocols too.

6. The frequent PDA!

Royal couples are expected to behave very formally in the public eye but Prince Harry and Meghan cannot keep their hands off of each other. They were holdings hands during their wedding ceremony too, a first in UK Royal history.

7. She wore a crossbody bag.

The Royal women are always seen sporting clutches in their hands but Meghan decided otherwise, and not only chose to carry a bag, she also wore it in a crossbody style.
