Vin Diesel, while accepting the People’s Choice award for favourite action movie and favourite movie, broke into an emotional tribute to his co-star Paul Walker, who passed away during the film’s production.

“So I think of Dom and Brian,” Diesel said, naming his and Walker’s characters in the series, “And I start to think of Paul.”

The 48-year-old actor, after lauding fans and Universal for their overwhelming support, got choked up before saying,

They said to make this short and sweet, so I will try to make this short and sweet. It was a labour of love. My only message to you is – you’d be amazed what you can do with love. You’d be amazed at how powerful a force that is. When we didn’t want to come back to filming when the tragedy was too heavy, it was the love of everyone combined that saw us through to the end.

He closed his speech and tribute to Paul Walker by singing a few lines from ‘See You Again’ the original soundtrack of Furious 7.
