We all have that one friend whose social media feed is stuffed up with cat memes, GIFs and puns. For such people, catitude is everything. If you belong to the same lot, let us introduce you to one pawesome place.
Aoshima Island, Japan is one of about a dozen cat islands where cats outnumber humans by six to one.
Also known as the cat island, it has only around 15 people living there.
Aoshima Island has no stores, restaurants or even vehicles. However, it recently became popular online, making it an ideal tourist attraction for cat lovers. These furry creatures survive on the food given by tourists and local residents.
Here, the cats were first introduced on ships to deal with mice that troubled the fisherman’s boats. However, they multiplied with time and have stayed on the island since.
It seems like a purrfect place to me. What do you think?
