This picturesque bridge in Bulgaria comes with its fair share of strange legends and tales. Drowned Church of Potosi: Uribante, Venezuela

Up until 2008, the Drowned Church of Potosi was a haunting visage of a time long gone. Only the cross at the top of the building was visible. It truly was a sight to behold. But then droughts and a water shortage caused the lake to dry up and slowly, piece by piece the magnificent church was slowly revealed. By 2010, all the water had receded leaving behind the wasted husk of a generation past.

These ‘beer pools’ in Austria are truly a sight to behold. Visitors (the very few that make it there) can take a dip in the beer while sipping on a cold one. Beerception, anyone? Apparently the beer in these pools also have a few medicinal properties as well. The high vitamin and calcium content is good for the skin and helps cure open wounds as well. There doesn’t seem to be too many people venturing out to these pools. We really don’t know why!
