The Auto Expo 2016 is all set to take place from 5-9th February in Greater Noida and boy are we excited. This year’s expo is being described as the biggest show ever. It will be a spectacular extravaganza of drool-worthy vehicles on display that are bound to give anybody a nerdgasm. The big boys of the automotive industry including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Ford, Jaguar-Land Rover and many more will be coming to town to leave us spellbound.

With so many cars being launched, it will be difficult to keep our eyeballs in one place. So we have compiled a list of 10 must watch cars which you should definitely not miss. Let’s begin our ride:

Ford Mustang

The American roadster will be priced somewhere around Rs 80 lakh.

The most anticipated car of the event is the iconic Ford Mustang. The American Muscle is finally making it’s debut in India. This sixth-generation model is the first one to be developed in right-hand drive. It gets plenty of retro touches with aviation-inspired interiors. Powering this beast is a 420bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Audi R8

Audi’s latest creation can go from 0-100 in just 3.2 seconds!

After creating some serious waves in the Geneva Motor Show 2015, the second generation Audi R8 will be displayed for the first time in India. The new iteration of the sports car borrows its style quotient from its predecessor but is faster and more powerful. It comes with a 601bhp V10 engine and a newly developed Quattro four-wheel drive system with a top speed of 330kph.

Mercedes-Benz GLC 

The stunning Mercedes SUV comes with an upgraded 9G-Tronic gearbox.

Based on the C-Class, Mercedes has launched the all new SUV this year named as GLC. It is a competent luxury crossover that features excellent interiors. It will be available in two variants, comprising of the 2.1-litre diesel engine connected to a new nine-speed automatic gearbox. An exciting prospect of this beauty is the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Honda BR-V

Honda’s newest creation is a seven-seater with extra space.

Honda will be revealing it’s much anticipated SUV, the BR-V. This car will be giving tough competition to the likes of Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Taking its design inspiration from the previous Honda cars, the BR-V comes with a chunky built and chrome sprinkled exteriors. It is powered by a 119bhp 1.5 i-VTec engine along with options of manual and automatic transmission.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

Maruti’s promising SUV is here to go head to head with Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300.

The Indo-Japanese company will be kick-starting their campaign with a compact SUV Vitara Brezza. This car has been highly anticipated amongst the Indian buyers and will debut on 3rd February. A few leaked images portray the bold and stylish looking design which is bound to beef up the competition. It will be initially launched with a 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine, with a 1.5-litre petrol engine to follow soon.

Jaguar XE

Jaguar has launched its most affordable car in India.

Jaguar will be starting 2016 with the launch of XE – an entry level sedan. The most striking feature of this car is the aluminium-intensive frame which makes it quite lightweight. It has been awarded the safest family car by Euro NCAP. There will be 2 variants available of its 2.0-litre engine generating powers of 197bhp and 237bhp respectively.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

The American giant will be equipped with an impressive Quadra-Lift air suspension system.

Fiat is all set to launch the Jeep brand in India by rolling out three models including the Grand Cherokee. It features an Eco Mode which optimizes transmission shift schedule to minimize the fuel consumption. The car will come with a 3.0-litre diesel engine good for 237bhp connected to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.

Chevrolet Beat Concept

Chevrolet is expected to launch a Beat crossover.

Chevrolet has managed to keep everything under the rug for the new Beat Concept. The company has just teased everybody with an image which displays a very hot version of the iconic green machine. The concept model comes with plastic cladding and round shaped fog lamps. The restyled LED headlamps make it look even better than the previous version.

Nissan GT-R

Nicknamed as Godzilla, the Nissan GT-R has a top speed in the excess of 310 km/hr.

The Japanese carmaker will be bringing a bevy of cars to India including one of the fastest sports car in the world. Nissan GT-R will make its Indian debut this year. A powerful force, this car can give any other sports car a run for its money. With jaw-dropping looks, this car features a 3.8-litre biturbo V6 engine capable of generating a power of 554bhp.

BMW’s luxurious creation will be enabled with the autonomous parking function which can park the car at the click of a button.

The car which defines the word ‘luxury’ has got even better. The all new 7 series by BMW promises more elegance, style and performance. With stiff completion from the new Mercedes S-Class, BMW is hoping to even the odds with this model. The 2016 variant comes with lightweight carbonfibre construction and gesture-based controls. Its twin turbo V8 engine puts out a staggering 445bhp while reaching 0-100 in just 4.3 seconds.
