A few months ago, my naive li’l cousin sent shock waves through the entire family by asking them to enroll him in a Ballet class. The whole idea was so appalling to them that they just couldn’t come to terms with a danseur in the family. Only when he got selected in an international dance competition that they finally accepted his passion for dance.
Such is our society and its long-prevailing stereotypes that it takes a fighter to break those norms and travel the road less taken.
To motivate us further, Honor 9N collaborated with 3 Bollywood actors to reveal what has been their path to glory and what makes them nothing less than ‘trailblazers’ in the film industry.
Watch what each one of them has to say.
Bhumi Pednekar
Kudos to her for addressing typical Bollywood stereotypes of what a Bollywood heroine should look like & give a low-down on how she overcame them. True #BossBabe vibes coming here, fellas!
Rajkumar Rao
This guy is casually shutting down gender-biased trolls, and dusting every cliché-ridden comment about him ‘not being a conventional hero-material’ off his shoulder and this is the kind of savagery we need in life, amirite?

Kalki Koechlin
Unconventional is the new ‘cool’, affirms Kalki Koechlin, and we’re literally nodding our heads in agreement.
