All the biggest and the most influential mobile world leaders are right now in Barcelona. Because the city holds the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry- The Mobile World Congress. This annual Barcelona event in recent years has become the perfect platform for companies to launch their products and define the future of mobile.

Samsung S7 And S7 Edge

Samsung launched two versions of its flagship phone, the flat screen Galaxy S7 and the curved screen Galaxy S7 edge, with cameras that can take better pictures under low-light conditions at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Sunday. Both the phones come with Android Marshmallow and will have 4GB RAM. The inbuilt storage is 32GB, which is expandable up to 200GB. Both phones feature a “Dual Pixel” 12-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). There’s a 5MP front camera and fast f/1.7 aperture lens — so yes, in terms of low light pictures, this is quite an upgrade.

Price: Rumoured to be between $700-800, which is around Rs 48,000-55,000.

Gionee Elife S8

As an upgrade to the S7 that was launched last year Gionee Elife S8 is being projected as a camera centric smartphone. A full slim metal body with a 5.5-inch fullHD display and corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, the phone comes with MediaTek’s Helio P10 or the MT6755 chipset which has an octa core processor clocked at 1.9GHz. Gionee S8 sports a 16MP rear camera with an RWB sensor and an 8MP front facing camera. The best feature: It supports multiple WhatsApp and WeChat accounts on one device.

Price: €449 (around Rs. 34,000)

Xiaomi Mi 5

The much-awaited successor to the Mi 4 smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona on Wednesday. The dual-SIM Xiaomi Mi 5 features a 5.15-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) with curved 3D Ceramic glass, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 camera sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and LED flash. The smartphone supports 4K video recording. It also sports a 4-Ultrapixel front camera, with 2-micron pixels.
