Young Indians Who Owned IPL 8

IPL is the most successful cricketing tournament because of the foreign talent it has to offer. But the tournament’s real USP is the young Indian talent. Here are the top 3 youngsters who burst onto the scene this season…

Shreyas Iyer: The 20-year-old Mumbaikar played for Delhi Daredevils and was their biggest highlight. Amassing 439 runs at an average of 34 speaks volume for what he achieved with the bat.

Yuzvendra Chahal: He was impressive for RCB last season but the 24-year-old leggie owned IPL 8 with 21 wickets from 14 innings. His temperament against the best proved his mettle.

Sarfaraz Khan: The 17-year-old was the youngest player this season and he impressed one and all with his attitude. 111 runs from 8 outings is not great but his 21-ball 45 against RR showed the potential he has.
