Twitter Bows Down To Rohit Sharma As He Shuts Critics With 176-Run Innings In 1st Test As An Opener

If Rohit can do in Tests what he did in ODIs, it will be great for India.

Captain Virat Kohli’s wishes were granted during the first Test between India and South Africa, when Rohit Sharma scored 176 to become the first opener from the country to score centuries across the 3 formats. Internationally, he is the 7th.

Known as a firebrand short-format cricketer, Rohit Sharma had a lot to prove going into the match.

Which is only because the bar he has set for himself is really high. No one doubts his capabilities as a batsman, but he needed to do something as excellent as he has done in ODIs and T20Is.

With this century, he has proved that he is a batting great, format no bar.

His innings came to an end at 176 runs, and Twitter couldn’t help but bow down to the hitman.

Not going to lie, we were all hoping for a double century, but given Rohit’s form and stature that shouldn’t take too long.
