Yuvraj Singh became the fifth Indian cricketer to reach the tally of 300 ODIs when he came out to play against Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy semi-final. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Mohammad Azharuddin are the other four cricketers.

It has been a phenomenal journey for India’s 2011 World Cup-winning hero, who was also diagnosed with cancer.

Indian cricket icon Tendulkar took to Instagram to congratulate the southpaw on his achievement.

Yuvraj made his India debut against Kenya in ICC Knockout tournament in 2000. He didn’t get to bat in that match, but smashed 84 runs against Australia in the next game.

India will clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday.
