SA Smash Bangladesh By 52 Runs In 1st T20

A brilliant innings by captain Faf du Plessis helped South Africa beat the in-form Bangladesh by 52 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the 2-match T20 series.

SA lost their best batsman, AB de Villiers (2), very early in the innings but du Plessis (79* off 61) kept the scoreboard ticking and got able support from Rilee Rossouw (21-ball 31*) to post 148/4.

Bangaldesh batsmen realized the difficulty in the pitch and could never get into the match with David Wiese (2/12) and JP Duminy (2/11) dictating terms.

The second and the final T20 match will be played on July 7 and the hosts will have to secure a win if they want to avoid a series loss.
