Ravi Shastri Retains Post As Indian Cricket Team’s Head Coach

Ravi Shastri remained the unanimous choice as he was selected as the Head Coach for the Men’s Indian Cricket Team, reports Times Now.

The three member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) made the decision after interviewing Shastri for close to two days. An official announcement will be made soon.

Apart from Shastri, former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson, former Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody, former Afghanistan and Zimbabwe coach Lalchand Rajput, former coach of West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan, Phil Simmons, and former India allrounder turned T20 specialist coach Robin Singh were also interviewed for the role.

Shastri will retain his role for the next two years. Under his tenure, India has won a landmark Test series in Australia and also secured their first ever ODI series win in South Africa. 


India also lifted the Asia Cup in 2018 under Ravi Shastri’s leadership.
