Popular streaming service Netflix has acquired rights to a documentary on India’s basketball star Satnam Singh, who plays for NBA Development League side Texas Legends and became the first Indian to be picked in an NBA draft.

The 7’2″ center was picked by the Dallas Mavericks in 2015, and the documentary, titled ‘One in a Billion’, charts his rise from a village in India (Ballo Ke) to the historic draft night in New York.

The feature-length documentary is directed by Roman Gackowski – who is joined by OBB Pictures CEO Michael D Ratner as producer as well.

‘One in a billion’ will be part of OBB’s impressive lineup of sports films/documentaries: they also released Viceland and ESPN’s ‘The Clubhouse’ and ‘The 5th Quarter’ for Go90.
