MSD To Lead Rising Pune Supergiants

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was without an IPL team a month ago but the Indian ODI and T20 captain has been named as the captain of the Pune Franchise.

The team named “Rising Pune Supergiants” will depend on MSD’s leadership prowess, the quality that has worked so well for Chennai Super Kings since the inaugural edition of the cash-rich league.

Pune have three international captains in their ranks, Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Steve Smith, but they decided to give Mahi the opportunity considering his IPL experience.

Captaining a new franchise might prove a bit difficult for MSD considering that he handpicked the CSK squad over the years. But he is the ‘Captain Cool’, isn’t he?
