While the big names in international cricket avoid playing in Pakistan, one of football’s biggest names will tour the country to play in an exhibition game along with other top players as part of a tour.
A GeoTV report said that Ronaldinho will lead a side against a team made of Pakistan’s national players.
“They haven’t named the team as yet, but it would be like ‘rest of world’ and the team will line up against a team comprised of Pakistan’s national team players. There are seven more footballers who will come to Pakistan along with Ronaldinho,” the report quotes a source as saying.
While the other players are not yet confirmed, they will mostly comprise of known names, as is the norm with tours like these. The report added that the players will be those with World Cup and Premier League experience.
Ronaldino has signed a contract with Leisure League and the Pakistan visit could be part of the deal.
