Gambhir Leads KKR To Comfortable Win Over DD

Gautam Gambhir scored his third half-century in IPL 8 to help Kolkata Knight Riders deliver a 6-wicket defeat to Delhi Daredevils on Monday, April 20.

Delhi were forced to bat first and KKR bowlers, Umesh Yadav (2/18), Morne Morkel (2/30) and Piyush Chawla (2/27), never allowed the Delhi batsmen to breathe easy as they finished at 146/7.

In return, KKR leader Gambhir (49-ball 60) ensured that there was no early panic in the run-chase and got able support from the hard-hitting but inconsistent, Yusuf Pathan (40 off 26).

The defending champions have now won three out of four matches this season and are in the groove. Delhi, on the other hand, are reeling with three losses in 5 matches.
