IPL 2020: The Complete List Of Players Traded Ahead Of The Auction

The 2020 IPL season, which is expected to begin in the last week of March, will see defending champions Mumbai Indians take on last year’s finalists Chennai Super Kings, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

A month before the auction event of the 2020 Indian Premier League, teams engaged in a window to trade-off some players and rope in a few from other teams. 


The IPL 2020 auctions is set to take place on December 19 in Kolkata.

Delhi Capitals started with the proceedings by roping in Ajinkya Rahane from Rajasthan Royals for the 2020 IPL season. A bigger buy, Delhi also welcomed Indian spinner R. Ashwin from Kings XI Punjab. 


In return Delhi traded-off Mayank Markande and Rahul Tewatia to the Royals. Delhi also traded-off bowling all-rounder K. Gowtham to Punjab.

Here are the players released by teams so far, before the IPL 2020 auction:

1. Chennai Super Kings – Chaitanya Bishnoi, Sam Billings, Dhruv Shorey, David Willey and Mohit Sharma. 


2. Mumbai Indians – Yuvraj Singh, Evin Lewis, Adam Milne, Jason Behrendorff, Barinder Sran, Ben Cutting and Pankaj Jaiswal, Beuran Hendricks, Rasikh Salam and Alzarri Joseph. 

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore – Shimron Hetmeyer, Dale Steyn, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee. 

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Ricky Bhui, Yusuf Pathan, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hasan and Martin Guptill. 

5. Rajasthan Royals – Shubman Ranjane, Stuart Binny, Prashant Chopra, Aryaman Birla, Rahul Tripathi, Jaydev Unadkat, Sudheshan Mithun, Ashton Turner, Oshane Thomas, Ish Sodhi and Liam Livingstone. 

6. Delhi Capitals – Hanuma Vihari, Ankush Bains, Chris Morris, Colin Ingram and Colin Munro. 

7. Kolkata Knight Riders – Robin Uthappa, Piyush Chawla, Chris Lynn and Carlos Braithwaite. 

8. Kings XI Punjab – David Miller, Varun Chakravarthy, Sam Curran and Andrew Tye.

The other notable moves took place in Trent Boult and Dhawal Kulkarni, who both moved to Mumbai Indians ahead of the new IPL season.

2. Sherfane Rutherford (Delhi Capitals to Mumbai Indians) – Rs 6.2 crore

3. Ravichandran Ashwin (Kings XI Punjab to Delhi Capitals) –  Rs 7.6 crore 

4. Jagadeesha Suchith (Delhi Capitals to Kings XI Punjab) – Rs 20 lakh

5. Trent Boult (Delhi Capitals to Mumbai Indians) – Rs 2.2 crore

6. Krishnappa Gowtham (Rajasthan Royals to Kings XI Punjab) – Rs 6.2 crore

7. Ankit Rajpoot (Kings XI Punjab to Rajasthan Royals) – Rs 3 crore

8. Dhawal Kulkarni (Rajasthan Royals to Mumbai Indians) – Rs 75 lakh

9. Ajinkya Rahane (Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals) – Rs 4 crore

10. Rahul Tewatia (Delhi Capitals to Rajasthan Royals) – Rs 3 crore

11. Siddhesh Lad (Mumbai Indians to Kolkata Knight Riders)

Each franchise will now have an extra sum of Rs 3 crore [US $425,000] as a surplus in their kitties from the final public sale.

Remaining amount for every team after today’s trade-off event.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore – Rs 27.90 crore 

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Rs 17.00 crore 

5. Kolkata Knight Riders – Rs 35.65 crore

7. Kings XI Punjab – Rs 42.70 crore 

8. Rajasthan Royals – Rs 28.90 crore 

The window that shut on November 14 was one of the busiest trade windows in the IPL.
