India Smash Lanka By 278 Runs To Level Series

Team India needed 8 wickets on the final day of the Colombo Test to level series and Virat Kohli’s men needed only 22.4 overs to clean up the hosts and achieve a 278-run victory.

The hosts started the day on 72/2 and lost captain Angelo Mathews (23) on the first delivery of the morning session to Umesh Yadav.

R Ashwin (5/42) and Amit Mishra (3/29) then cleaned up the remaining islanders to avoid the rain-scare that interrupted the game for a brief moment.

The third and decisive Test between the two teams will be played at SSC from August 28 th and it should be a nail-biter considering the past two results.
