Rayudu Ton Powers India To 4 Run Win Over Zimbabwe

Ambati Rayudu smashed an unbeaten 124 to overpower Elton Chigumbura’s efforts as India beat Zimbabwe by 4 runs in the 1 st ODI of the 3-match series.

Team India was in deep trouble at 87/5 in the 25 th over and it needed an inspirational 160-run partnership between Rayudu (124* off 133) and Stuart Binny (76-ball 77) to take India to 255/6.

Zimbabwe also lost early wickets in their run-chase but an epic knock by skipper Chigumbura (104* off 101) got them close and they needed 10 runs off the last over to win but Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded just 6.

Team India survived the scare but will know that they need to be much better if they want to avoid any embarrassment on this tour.
