Harbhajan Singh Just Uploaded A Photo That’s A Grim Reminder Of Delhi’s Terrible Air Quality

Era Tangar

The IPL season is making a lot of buzz on social media for the obvious reason: cricket isn’t just a game, it is a religion. But, recently, it has made news for a reason that we all can relate with at a very personal level: breathing.

After the Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils at Feroz Shah Kotla, Harbhajan Singh, posted a picture on his Instagram and said that “it was almost impossible to breathe” in the ground.

The smog and pollution levels in the city have been alarmingly high, and the picture he posted is a grim reminder of just that. It is rather alarming to witness our favourite players complaining about having a hard time.

He later, also took to Twitter, to talk about the unhealthy air in the capital city that was certainly not conducive for a match.

This isn’t a new occurrence though. In November 2016, a Ranji match between Gujarat and Bengal had to be moved to another city because of the high levels of pollution and smog.

Delhi, are we listening?
