Pujara Becomes 4th Indian To Carry His Bat

Cheteshwar Pujara had to wait for a long time (2 Tests) to get an opportunity of playing in Sri Lanka but when he got the chance, he ended up carrying his bat in India’s first innings.

Pujara (145* off 289) became only the fourth India after Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid to accomplish this batting honour.

In the process, Pujara guided India to a first innings total of 312 and his innings may turn out to be a series-winning one for India.
