Captain Cool Dhoni Fined After He Confronted Umpires During Yesterday’s No-Ball Confusion

Of all the great qualities MS Dhoni is known for, two of the most important ones are – great judgment and composure.

While his judgment was still correct, MS Dhoni lost his cool in an unlikely fashion during CSK’s match against Rajasthan Royals last night.

In the last over of an absolute nail-biting encounter, a clear no-ball by Ben Stokes to Santner was ruled out by umpire Ulhas Gandhe.

This made Dhoni extremely angry and he entered the ground to blast Ulhas before he was calmed down and sent back by the other umpire Bruce Oxenford.

Stokes ultimately went on to bowl a wide delivery and Santer hit the last ball for a 6, to guide CSK to a thrilling 4-wicket win.

It was a relief that everything ended well but seeing Dhoni so angry is not something that happens everyday. Reactions were expected from people and reactions were given.

Dhoni was fined 50% of his fees for the match, which interestingly enough gave him his 100th IPL win as a captain.
