SA Pacer Dale Steyn May Miss Sunday’s Match Against India

South African pacer Dale Steyn reportedly missed training on Wednesday, 18th Feb, as he is down with flu. He has been unwell for quite sometime now as he struggled in SA’s World Cup opening game against Zimbabwe. He took just one wicket in 9 overs and gave away 64 runs.

Steyn has looked out of it for a while now as he bowled just 7 overs in the pre-WC warm up match against Sri Lanka and completely missed out on the match against New Zealand.

The Proteas are set to play India on Sunday, 22nd Feb. India’s record against South Africa is poor so it will be a boost for Team India if SA’s premier bowler misses out. With 3 days to go, it remains to be seen if Steyn can regain fitness and play at the MCG against the Men In Blue.
