South African pacer Dale Steyn has been declared fit for Sunday’s clash against India. The 31-year-old had been down with a flu and was considered a doubt ahead of the crucial tie against India.

Steyn is arguably the world’s best bowler right now but lately his form has been abysmal. He returned with disappointing figures of 1/64 in SA’s World Cup opener against Zimbabwe.

His return to fitness is a welcome boost for South Africa who are looking to win their first World Cup title. But this news is definitely a bad blow for India who have never beaten the Proteas in World Cup matches in their previous 3 attempts.
