CSK Dump KXIP To Finish On Top

Chennai Super Kings have been the best IPL team over the past seven editions and it was no surprise to see them dump Kings XI Punjab by 7 wickets and finish the league stage on top with 18 points.

KXIP decided to test their abysmal batting unit first and met the inevitable end as none of their “stars” could fire and they managed just 130/7.

Chennai openers went early but Faf du Plessis (55) and Suresh Raina (41*) completed the formality with 19 balls to spare.

CSK have secured top position and it means that they’ll get two chances to make it to the final. KXIP, on the other hand, have gone from last year’s runners-up to this year’s Wooden Spoon winners.
