India Surrender To Herath’s Spin In 1st Test

Rangana Herath produced an outstanding spell of bowling to bowl out India for 112 to gift Sri Lanka a famous 63-run win in the Galle Test.

India needed only 153 runs on the 4 th Day with 9 wickets left to claim the 1 st Test but their inability to face quality spin cost them the match.

Ajinkya Rahane (36) was the top-scorer for India in the 4 th innings which was dominated by Herath (7/48) and Tharindu Kaushal (3/47).

Team India must do some serious introspection as it was their game to lose from the first session. Now they are going to Colombo 1-0 down in Kumar Sangakkara’s farewell Test.
