Yuzvendra Chahal is far from done after his career best six-wicket haul against England in the T20I series clincher.

The leg-spinner from Haryana is working hard on a magic ball, which he is ready to unveil in this year’s Indian Premier League.

A Times of India report quoted his coach Randhir Singh as saying: “I won’t be able to reveal much right now. But Chahal is definitely going to bowl his magical delivery this IPL if he could perfect it in the nets.”

Chahal, who lives with his coach in Delhi, was already an IPL star before shooting to prominence for the national side as well. Playing under Virat Kohli in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, Chahal boasts of the third best strike-rate among IPL bowlers (minimum 30 matches) and took to international cricket pretty well.

Randhir also said that Chahal wasn’t just the hero in the final T20I, but performed well in the first two matches as well – but his performances went unnoticed because of the final results.

He also added that his spin wards – Chahal and Pawan Negi – are good enough to play in Tests, and that branding the latter as a limited overs cricket specialist was unfair.

While Test cricket may be round the corner for Chahal, the excitement of a new magic ball from a leg-spinner is certainly something to look forward to!
