60% Of All World Cup Viewers Tuned In To Watch The Ind-Pak Game, 229 Mn Watched It In India Alone

And even though the match was a rain-affected one, it recorded 229 million viewers in India, tuning in to watch the live match coverage on Star Network and Doordarshan.

Even without the viewership DD garnered, Star India, one of the official broadcasters of the ICC World Cup 2019, recorded a viewership of 206 million for the match.

According to BARC India data, 60% of all World Cup viewers turned up to watch the India-Pakistan match. And to put that into perspective, 45% of all viewership of India’s WC matches came from the India-Pakistan match.
