“He is not a lover who does not love forever.”

Married for 47 years, Marvin Brewington and his wife Wanda are the perfect example of love in its purest form.

Their story caught attention after their photographer daughter clicked her parents’ pictures and posted them alongside a heartwarming caption.

She described how her father, a two-time cancer survivor and her mother, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, stuck together through trying times.

Marvin and Wanda met in 1968 at the Livingstone College in Salisbury. Marvin was a popular football star in college whereas Wanda was a shy girl next door who hailed from a small mountain town.

Marvin found himself drawn towards Wanda but she only agreed to go out with him after he asked her multiple times.

They got married in 1970. Just three years into their marriage, Marvin was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In 1987, he got colon cancer and in 2013, prostate cancer. While Marvin was going through a difficult phase, Wanda was by her husband’s side.

Just a year later, in 2014, Wanda was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The couple has been each other’s rock.

When Amber uploaded her parents’ pictures, no one knew that the couple’s love story would receive so much love. She told Yahoo Lifestyle:

The photo shoot rekindled a spark between them. They were like two high school kids, so sweet and giggly. It really warmed my heart.
