In what served as a bit of an embarrassing moment for Venkaiah Naidu’s Ministry, its Twitter handle retweeted many photos and tweets shared by the minister’s parody account and realised its mistake no less than 24 hours later.
While the Housing and Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu was busy in events in Karnataka on Tuesday, his parody account, @VenkronymNaidu – which follows only one Twitter handle, Ministry of Housing – was simultaneously putting out reverse acronyms for various things.
The Ministry of Housing may have been slow to realise it but Twitterati wasn’t.
The ministry officials realised their mistake 24 hours later and deleted the tweet ever since.
