This NASA Video Explains How The Sun’s Invisible Magnetic Field Works

At the centre of the solar system, the sun is crucial to deep space travel and space exploration, as an invisible magnetic field of the Sun is responsible for phenomena such as solar explosions and auroras. Now NASA created a video explaining how they see and study this magnetic field.

Created by combining three models based on observations, measurements of the magnetic field strength, and direction on the solar surface, the video contains an explanation by NASA GSFC solar scientist Holly Gilbert.

The video shows the interplanetary magnetic field and radiation through which spacecrafts travel around the solar system, and presents a spectacular view of the fascinating phenomenon.
