The kind of attention Rahul Gandhi gets in his party is an open secret, and an incident in Puducherry shows that he is called Rahul Baba for a reason. On his visit to flood hit Puducherry, former Union Minister V Narayanasamy offered his own slippers to the Congress vice president.
The elected representative meant to serve the people, was caught on camera showing some extra dedication to the Gandhi scion. Rahul accepted the offer and walked off without any hesitation , as reported by NDTV.
After the incident hit the news, Naranasamy defended his actions as a gesture out of courtesy, as he offered his own slippers to Gandhi who had removed his shoes in the flood affected area, reports DNA .
