Priyanka Chopra To Be Honoured With The UNICEF Humanitarian Award

It is clear that our desi girl is making a name for herself all over the world. Now she has added yet another feather in her cap! 

Priyanka Chopra is all set to be honoured with UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the Snowflake Ball in December. 


PC is a global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights. The star took to Twitter to express her gratitude.

The Snowflake Ball will be held on 3rd December 2019 in New York City. It is an annual charity gala, celebrating UNICEF’s lifesaving work for children around the world.

UNICEF tweeted the announcement of the award.

The award is named after Danny Kaye who was UNICEF’s first Goodwill Ambassador. 

Priyanka has been a Goodwill Ambassador since 2006 and was appointed a national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016 respectively. She is known for her contribution to social causes and for being a mouthpiece for awareness about children’s education, for which she was in Ethiopia last month.

She has also been a part of the United Nations’ global ‘Girl Up’ campaign and is closely associated with many NGOs in India to raise awareness about the health, education and safety of girl child in India.
