This Stunning Animation of London’s 40,000 Years Of History Was Made Entirely Out Of Paper

It’s a history lesson like none other, and must have taken a crazy amount of time to put together.

Excavations at a construction site for London’s upcoming new Crossrail system revealed thousands of artifacts last year, a process that continues.

As a tribute to these artifacts, a video team at National Geographic set out to create a stop-motion paper animation that recreates 40,000 years of London’s history, from the era of mammoths, the Viking invasion, the times of Shakespeare and Industrial Revolution to the present age.

Yes, the models are made entirely of paper, and they are simply stunning!
