In A Major Blunder, Sunny Deol Says He’ll ‘Withhold Sovereignty’ While Taking The Oath In Lok Sabha

Ira Shukla

First time Lok Sabha member and newly-appointed MP from Punjab’s Gurdaspur, Sunny Deol made a big mistake while taking an oath in the lower house.

One India

According to a report from NDTV, instead of saying ‘uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the country’, Deol said he will ‘withhold’ the sovereignty and integrity of the country.

Even though he corrected himself immediately, the news started doing rounds on the internet and people were quick to notice it:

Earlier, BJP had made a typing error in its manifesto when it had mentioned:

(We) have made strict provisions for transferring the laws in order to commit crimes against women.

And who can forget Arnab Goswami calling Sunny Deol, Sunny Leone on TV?

The tragedy of errors!
