This Snobbish Ad In Mumbai Newspapers Shows Exactly What’s Wrong With Our Society

A section of advertising in India seems to about tugging at strings that most Indians often relate to – sexism, patriarchy and a blatant classist approach.

There was an advertisement in the newspapers across Mumbai on 5th June for Lodha Luxuria Priva, a housing society in Thane.

Facebook

The ad reads – “You worked your way up to rise above the crowds. Not live with them.”

The Lodha campaign is also responsible for building the Trump Tower in Mumbai. Is this a sign?

People have attacked the obviously classist approach of the ad.

Seems like the advertising didn’t work that well.
