Sadhu Groups Open Fire, Attack Each Other With ‘Trishul’ At Simhastha Kumbh

In a shocking incident, a group of sadhus opened fire at the Simhastha Kumbh in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to an ANI report, a clash broke out between two groups of sadhus during election in one Avahan Akhara. Swords, guns, ‘trishul’ and many other deadly weapons were used during the violent confrontation.

Four sadhus received bullet wounds and were immediately rushed to a hospital, many other have reportedly been injured.

Two sadhus have also been arrested in connection with the incident, said a PTI report.

The incident took place ahead of the ‘Vichaar Mahakumbh’ which is a three-day event at the Simhastha Kumbh attended by domestic and foreign delegates.
