Actor Rajesh Vivek, known for playing the comic astrologer Guran in Lagaan, and as the postman in Swades, passed away on Thursday, January 14th,  following a heart attack in Hyderabad. He was 66 years old.

Rajesh Vivek was introduced to the world by Shyam Benegal in his movie Junoon. There was no looking back after that.

He not only made appearances on the big screen, but acted in many popular TV series like Mahabharat, Bharat Ek Khoj, and Aghori. Vivek rose as an artist and made a mark on every role he picked up in the television circuit.

The roles he played in movies like Jodha Akbar, Veerana, Joshilay, Bunty Aur Babli, Bhoot Unkle, What is Your Rashee, Agnipath, Son of Sardaar, Dishkiyaaun and Bandit Queen immortalise him as an actor. There will be never another actor who will entertain us as well as he did in all his characters.
