Madhya Pradesh Minister Robbed At Gunpoint Aboard Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express

In a bizarre incident, the Finance Minister of Madhya Pradesh Jayant Malaiya and his wife Sudha were allegedly robbed at gunpoint while travelling in the Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express on Thursday. They were travelling to Delhi in an AC-I compartment.The robbery took place near Kosi Kalan railway station in Mathura district, when around six armed men entered the train and looted the passengers including the minister.

They threatened the minister and his wife with dire consequences if they raised an alarm and fled after stopping the train by pulling the alarm chain.

Malaiya registered his complaint at Hazrat Nizamuddin station in New Delhi. He claimed that robbers made off with Rs 25,000 cash, a gold chain, his wife’s mangalsutra, gold rings, a bracelet and other belongings.
