President Barack Obama Visits Homeland Kenya, Reunites With Father’s Family

Fulfilling the wishes of millions of Kenyans, US President Barack Obama returned to his father’s homeland on Friday, July 24. It is his first visit to Kenya as the President of The United States of America.

US and Kenyan flags lined the main road from Nairobi’s airport to welcome Obama’s long sought visit to Kenya which considers him a local son.

Billboards, backpacks, T-shirts with photos of Obama were found across Kenya.

Obama is traveling with nearly two dozen US lawmakers, along with 200 US investors attending the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. His wife Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha did not accompany him.
