If you are travelling from the New Delhi Railway Station, be prepared to see it in a new light this time.
The station was recently revamped by the Indian Railways and it looks beautiful.
The entire station building has been painted in vibrant colours.
Reportedly, the changes have been done on the Paharganj side entry of the railway station.
The railway station now has various passenger-friendly amenities and modern facilities such as LCD displays, escalators and LED lights.
The Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC), a special purpose vehicle for revamping and developing railway stations will invest about ₹7,500 crore, for redeveloping close to 50 railway stations across India.
They will also have a beautification drive, which will include paintings and art along the premises of these railway stations.
The revamped look of the railway station went down pretty well with most people who took to Twitter to express their feelings.
If you’ve always avoided travelling by trains because you dreaded going through the smelly and bustling New Delhi Railway Station, now is the time to reconsider.
