Here’s How Narendra Modi Congratulated Donald Trump On Twitter

This is happening. Donald Trump has officially been elected as the 45th President of the United States Of America. The news has sent the world in a tizzy, with divisive reactions from people from all walks of life and different ends of the political spectrum. 

And as is customary, leaders from around the world are sending in their wishes to the newly elected President. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, too, took to Twitter to send his wishes to the newly elected president.

Modi tweeted, that he looked forward to a healthy friendship with America, under the leadership of Donald Trump.

India has had a growing and healthy relationship with America, under Obama. While Trump has spoken about everything under the sun during his campaign, his foreign policy, many political pundits say, remains ambiguous. It remains to be seen, how he takes this relationship forward with India.
