After a spider shaped object on Mars was given names like John Carter and Martian space crab, now a new creature has caught a UFO aficionado’s eye. A person with an acute sense of vision, spotted something that resembles a lizard, and reported it to a website aptly named UFO Sightings Daily.

The contributor Scott C.Waring said, “the creature looks like a lizard, but with a short tail. I tried hard to get a close up of it.”

The position of the Martian lizard, with a cocked head eyes looking upwards, shows it is on high alert mode because of the rover’s presence, which is perhaps an alien sighting for it.

Following the sightings of a giant space crab and a woman staring at the rover, space buffs are wondering why NASA is not coming up with announcements regarding life on Mars. The images are fast evolving into conspiracy theories, which surround almost anything in the digital age.

While a lot of people are calling these objects “alien relics,” experts say it is a result of a vision defect called ‘ pareidolia ‘, a psychological phenomena of noticing significant patterns. That is just a polite way of saying that people are just having visions as a result of watching too many sci-fi movies.

As claims of creatures and structures keep emerging from Mars, the curiosity rover is raising a lot of eyebrows.
